A science graduate of distinction in Synthetic Textile Chemistry, Soli trained vigorously in classical vocal music under the tutelage of veteran musicians like Pt. Phiroze Dastur and Pt. Ajay Pohankar of the Kirana Gharana.

The world of music beckoned and Soli left his hometown Surat to adopt music as his profession in the megapolis of Bombay.

Soli’s Parsee heritage has given him a humble grace that seems to emanate from somewhere deep within him.

It is his inflexible willpower and his ferocious appetite for hard work that has made him what he is today—an achiever.

An approved All India Radio vocalist and composer in Hind and Gujarati light music, Soli’s contribution to the propagation of music has not been restricted to singing and composing—he has been a music critic and a columnist in many leading dailies. Soli has lent his mellifluous voice to many albums, TV serials, commercials, dance ballets and several public as well as private concerts. In addition to his association with many reputed music companies of India like HMV, Venus, Tips, Times Music etc., Soli has several ambitious and innovative future projects on the anvil. His first foray into the world of playback singing for Moksha has catapulted into an enviable and veritable flood of offers for many more films.
